The end of the nineteenth century was an era of technological advances, the powerful British empire, industrialisation and - if you believe science fiction authors - steampunk. It was the time when history and the modern times met, so why not add airships, steam-powered "computers" and other fancy stuff? This year, Alternative Party takes a look at how things were when new things were still new and the world was full of possibilities.
Alternative Party 2008 will be held on 24-26 October 2008 at Cable Factory, Helsinki. As the event will be our biggest yet, the preparations are also bigger than ever. Join us and let the steam flow!
