In addition to the main event Alternative Party 2008 at the Cable Factory, following related events are organised before and after the main event around Helsinki.

Thursday 23rd October

Demoscene seminar, day 1

Directly preceeding the main party, the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts and Alternative Party arranges a two day long seminar on Demoscene. The program covers demoscene as a phenomenon, demoscene works of art, techniques of demoscene, and the demoscene attitude. See also: Call for presentations

Welcome party for our international and Finnish main guests. Sparkling wine and finger food.

Music, alternative people, friendly atmosphere and an open bar. A great place to meet after the demoscene seminar or after a long trip to Helsinki. Any reason will do - be there!
